Day 90 and 91 Journals

Into Washington

Over the last two very hot days I headed north out of Portland, along the rather uninspiring Highway 30. Eventually I reached Rainier and then crossed the Columbia River into Washington. As I walked into Longview I was met by some Longview Rotarians and local press. So here we are in Washington, the final state to be conquered. I actually just wrote a nice long blog but the computer cut out and wiped it and this is all I am able to muster up now! Sorry.

Bye

We are following you, Nathan. I have lived in Monmouth and Salem and now you are in Longview where John and I live some time back for a few years...loved the people and the area. We lived there right after Mt. St. Helens blew!!!

We are proud of you and thrilled that you are so very close to your goal. Grueling only begins to explain what you have been through.

Our best, John and Loma of Brookings OR/ Smith River CA.

Hi Nathan & Clare
We are following your progress in Spain and think that you are doing a great job. Looks like that it is proving enjoyable too!

Proud to recognise that there are still young folk who care.
When are you walking the Costa Blanca!?
Even from our mountain top villa which I am sure Clare will remember well , we can watch and participate in your progress.
Take care.. God bless..
Love Sylvia & Roberto xxx!
